The Claude ecosystem

The tools we use with Claude, how they connect, and what they cost.

The three ways we use Claude

Claude can be used in three ways. They differ by how much they connect to our files and tools.

Chat

Answers questions and helps with thinking. Nothing is kept between sessions.

questions

Cowork

Connects Claude to our files and apps, so it can produce documents and work across our tools. Most of our current work was made here.

documents & apps

Claude Code

Runs on the computer and builds things that live in a repository — code, websites, automation.

How the pieces fit

The work moves through three stages — made, stored, then published — with a different tool for each.

1 · Make

Cowork & Claude Code — where documents, guides, apps and pages are created.

2 · Store

GitHub — stores everything with full version history, off the laptop and backed up.

3 · Publish

Cloudflare — serves the stored work as a private internal website (dashboard, wiki, guides).

What it costs

The cost of each part of the stack at our current size, using nonprofit rates where they apply.

~$8
Claude / seat / mo (nonprofit, 75% off)
2
seat minimum
£0
GitHub (free for nonprofits)
£0
Cloudflare (free tier)
The only recurring cost is the Claude seats — about $16/month combined for two, at the nonprofit rate (a two-seat minimum applies). GitHub's Team plan is free for verified nonprofits, and Cloudflare's free tier covers a private internal site for up to 50 users.
